Hey pyro, thought you might be interested in this, a while ago I made up a small bracket for the TLR to hold a little MPEG4 camera, worked a treat. The camera's only about the size of a packet of cigarettes, so I got a sheet of metal and just bent it around until it held the camera nice and tight in under the front right indicator. Took a bit of messing to get the angle right, but when done it was really stable, even at speed. Only prob seemed to be at upwards of 220-240, the picture on the camera started looking a bit wavey, like the camera was on LSD or summit. The camera didnt move, just the picture, like the camera wasnt capable of processing things that fast or something.

Worked mint tho, will have a look around tonight and see if I can find some track footage (the only stuff i could find last night was taken on the road, so might not post that . . .), or maybe a pic of what it looks like in place.

    awesome job mate.

but how does it stick to the bike?

and yeah my camera is a bit bigger than that.

my old mount used to have it hanging off the side upside down.

Your mount looks pretty good, take it the screws are there to adjust the viewing angle? Nice job.

Mine just bolted on to two of the screws for the fairing. I put rubber over every bit that rubs on the fairing, plus on the inside where the camera sits. Worked a treat, and meant that you could fix it on with just the one allen key in less than a minute.

    not bad!

im thinking of taking my tripod and making a small hole in the bottom of top part of the tank bag so I can adjust its position a bit better and avoid it falling out the front. I use masking tape at the moment and that doesnt work the best. I just recorded 20mins of tape at close range (was testing night riding with cam)

Yeah, I looked at using a tripod as well, but wouldnt have worked so good on the TLR with the screen being too dark - very sucky as with the camera on the side you dont get to see the speedo.

The TLR had a nice horizontal bar across the front of the tank that was part of the frame for holding up the top of the fairing and the mirrors, etc. It looked like I would be able to attach two of the tripod legs to that, and just have one coming back to rest on the tank. Then it would just need a sucker or some gaffa tape to hold it back on the tank. Would have been fine under acceration, but was a bit nervous in case when I hit the pick's it fell forward over the triple clamps . . .

Looks like a good set up pyrocam, bet it makes sitting a little awkward, cant quite lean into it like yah normally would. Ever thought of getting a packet of cable ties and using them to tie it further fowards, especially with the visor off you could set it up just ahead of the speedo then?
