    Old

    When you get old
    and your balls get cold
and the end of your knob turns blue
and the hole in the middle won't piddle no more
    I'd say you're stuffed wouldn't you?

et al: my KB name - thanks LB

In case anyone was wondering (which I doubt very much) here is my story about how I chose my KB name:
Went on my first ride with Jim2 and some of his mates including Mangell6, Mooch, Snuffles - this was a couple or three years ago, the group later became loosely known as the "SCMCC", but that is another story!
Anyhoo........... on the way back from that ride back from over the Wairarapa we passed by the Rimutaka Summit without stopping and LB later posted something like: "I was up the top of the Tuks and saw Jim2, Mangell6, Mooch, Snuffles, et al pass through". So I thought that means I must be "et al" then - and I promptly joined up as such.
My name therefore is nothing to do with me having an ETALian bike, I am totally nothing to do with the "artist" group known as et al, or the reverse of the word: late, or any other connotations there-of.
There you have it, and thanks for asking.

    Do tell!!

I always though your handle must have meant "and others" and I guess based on LB's post, I was right.

Damn - here was me thinking I was a man of mystery and you had figured it out anyway. As for the "clubname" - the thread and picture which would explain it all appear to have been lost in the fullness of time but it was to do with a picture taken of our bikes outside an establishment roughly opposite the Wild Oats in Carterton. It was the local Senior Citizens club and none of us were too happy when someone noted the appropriate building signage had appeared in the picture.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Was that the day that Snuffles destroyed a couple of rims trying to keep up with us old farts? Next time we’ll take his wife with us instead, I hear she’s a far better rider.
    Well done on 100 posts!

Thanks Mooch. Not quite sure (mists of time and all that getting the better of me) but I think the "square wheels" incident might have been on the second ride for SCMCC. Agree that young Snuffles is a bit of a worry, you are quite right to suggest he probably should not be let out on his own with us anymore.

Back in high school, 6th form, some challenge was put forth and no one was doin' it, I forget what it was but someone nominated me to take it on, saying I could do it and I said "yes, for I am, the almighty taco." And used it ever since.

Mine comes from what my dad used to call me as a kid whenever I crashed anything (bikes, mini-motorbikes, gocarts, 4-wheelers, skateboards, cars, you name it I've crashed 'em all).

I started using it when I joined the JDM CBR forum as a result of buying a CBR250 to replace the ZZR250 that I'd just written off...

I don't know where "Harry" comes from, that's just what he used to call me.

My nick was givern to me by Scorpygirl about 10 years ago. We were at the movies watching the Robin Williams movie "Jumanji".

There is a scene where a whole herd of African animals appear stampeding down the road while a car is waiting at an interesection. They all go past and then, lagging way behind, is a very old and slow Rhino. She looked at me and said "It's just like you, old, grey and behind the 8 ball."

After all that I still married her.

I use this nick in both Ulysses and KB.

And you all thought is was to do with a large horn.
Keep the shiny side upright, Rhino.

It appears I really am old!

I was just looking for old biker friends that might be on the net and stumbled my way onto this site.
Didn't know what to do to get on here so just called myself oldrider and it went through.
I didn't think I would be on here for long but just sort of kept coming back and found out I liked it.
I feel like I belong now and have actually met some of you, so I am going to stay.
I think I might be one of the oldest on here! So it fits me OK. Cheers John.

Well, that prevented me from making a stupid assumption in the "Mental Image of KBers" thread...
