Never fear. I have a whole new can of theological worms, all ready for the opening. If I wasn't supposed to be working (urk) right now, I'd start in on it. As it is I just don't seem to be able to collect enough spare time and energy to get into it, but the thread's not going anywhere in the meantime.

As to the queens english ... it appears to me that we talk a bastardised version of just about every other language going, using words of convenience borrowed on a semi-permanent basis until they become accepted by the oxford or whatever else is the guide to the evolving entity that is "our" language. If it's used often enough then it's OK ....
