Bugger! Hope you heal fast. Bad timing.

And Col - I hope she was OK with you posting this or you'll be broken when she heals...

Will you be riding shotgun on MSTRS bike with a broken leg and thumb?
No. My brother is driving her from New Plymouth to Napier on Boxing Day, and she's driving back (Thank God for automatics) here on the 27th.

She will then follow myself and MSTRS in the car, with our gear of course. Not quite the way we planned to do our trip, but better than not doing it at all.

She's ok, but a bit sore. All is well here, but yungatart is a little stroppy. The bike is stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear, the front left indicator doesn't exist, the front fairing mount is broken and the fairing is cracked (Will be removed or replaced) and the speedo mount is broken, although it still works. It's sort of ride-able, but not by her.

She hasn't seen this yet, I'll probably get a bash with a crutch or something; wish me luck...
Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Hopefully she'll heal up well.

Yep they had a closing down sale..... but she will can still contact them via phone.

Just keep on ducking mate..... then she wont be able to hit you....

Hey pre-warn her there is a flight of steps to get up at Busapete's..... and she can roll on down when she wants to head to bed.... or one of the lads can give her a 'firemans lift' up and down the stairs...

I'm okay folks - however Colapop is in deep doo doos....
I have a broken fibula low down by the ankle, a broken thumb, and a chip of bone floating around in my knee.
But I have had experience before of being on crutches at this time of the year...broke my foot last year..not on a bike tho.
I'm still gonna have my holiday tho!
I came around a left hand corner, down hill (man,I hate those), bike went wide, then the front wheel tucked under when it hit the shiny patch where the chip had all gone (on the other side of the road), down I went and slid about 50 ft down the road, just missed a huge big rock and luckily there wasn't anyone coming the other way.
A bus driver from Piopio bus co stopped - he rides a HD, thanks dude!
And Nadroj came and picked me and the bike up..big ups to him!

Thanks for all your good wishes guys, will see you on the trails...

    Get well soon Yungatart!
Sounds like excessive speed, caused by insufficient wind-drag from the yellow plate...

Didn't smell anything on the trip back to New Plymouth - are those Quasi's good leathers or what!
Mstrs hasn't has use of the crutch so sympathies to him (they are too short for him).
Col should be running scared as this incident may be fatal yet (if she can catch him).
