I will be down in Dunedin again on friday, but that trip is in the cage. I couldn't trust my rear tyre even for that short distance.
No, I take your point. I know what it's like to blow a rear on the road, scary.
Sorry I won't get to meet you.

I couldn't get a Bridgestone either, had to go for a Michelin.

In Alexandra we have 0 tyre shops, and 2 motorbike shops that stock only cheap tyres and get decent tyres in only on order.

There is also one Mobil petrol station where the owner used to be the top motorcycle salesman in Central Otago, and he is also a bloody good motorcycle mechanic. He doesn't stock any tyres but he is getting the Pirellis for me. I also found out that the last set of Bridgestone BW501/502s that I had fitted were the last in the country, and that was 2 months ago.

BRONZ organised charity ride this Sat - meet at the Carey's Bay Hotel at 1:30 (or the other venue, Southern Hotel, earlier with NH if that suits). They leave out there to arrive at Logan Park about 2:30 and then a big group ride into the Octagon.

Should finish around 3:30 and then we're heading to Waihola via 3 mile Hill and Outram.

    So are you going??

How about Taieri Road, just off Kaik Valley Rd? Somewhere near the traffic lights.

I doubt if I'll do that many in a year.

Ah, I normally do 500 - 1000 kms per weekend. But I'll be babying this next set of tyres until the start of the Southern Cross Run. There's no time to stop and change tyres midway on that ride.
