Im looking at getting a whole parts bike to get bits for my bike, but the parts bike will be an 89 and mines an 88. Is there any difference between these models? and if so, is it anything major?

Hi, I just completed putting a GSXR250CK from 2.5 wrecked bikes. Gettiing it VIN and WOF tomorrow. Quite a lot of parts left behind if you are interested. Got my bike VIN, registered and insured last friday. Except for the headlights pointing towards the sky, it passed with flying colours.Took it for a spin on the same day. It is not too bad for a 250, pretty niffty over 9000+ rpm.
