    Classic Freddie Spencer video

Mid eighties video of Freddie Spencer on his Honda NSR 500 taking on a Nissan 300ZX Turbo and a Honda Sabre(!) at Laguna Seca. The car gets to go first, followed by the Sabre, then Freddie puts on his gloves and his helmet. The rest you'll have to watch...

    Here.

That's a different Laguna Seca than we are used to seeing. Now if that was Steve Millen in one of his 300ZX Nissan's Freddie might wish he had been a bit faster with the gloves and helmet.

But a Honda Sabre??!! Like, was it free or something?

    That was bloody cool
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

And that 84 NSR was Super Nasty, Hondas first V4, had the fuel tank below the engine and the exhausts going over the top of the motor. Cool vid, hadnt seen it before, thought those old ZX300 were quick, impressed that the 700cc Sabre caught him like that.
No tyre warmers on that NSR either.
Damn, Freddie Spencer was cool, wasnt he? 1982-85, that was his era!

And to think that Rossi's M1 top speed is 330kph plus, and 240hp, the car may need a tad more than 30 seconds start...

Barry Sheene was once giving a non works bike to race, 140 hp, he said '' you wouldn't pull a school boy of ya granny with that''.....

Cool vid tho' Nut With a Pea......
