    KB KIDS OFFROAD day 30/11/2008

    KB KIDS BIKE/QUAD RIDE DAY

    PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE

    SUNDAY 30TH NOVEMBER11.30 am -6pm
This is for your KIDS to get a taste of what it's like to ride a Trail bike/Quad in a safe controlled environment

Meet Up at 25 Corban Avenue, Henderson at 11.30am on 30TH nOVEMBER.

IF YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME --0210354615 OR 8375005

Then we head to the "track" which is a big bit of land that’s mostly grass with a really clear dirt track ridden into it. The track has a few corners ,a few humps n bumps and a little hill to keep things fun.
Theres also a "beginners" circle right in the middle for the younger kids to go round and round on - good for the lil chainsaw-powered quads.

It's aimed at novices/less experienced riders from 3-12 years old. I'll also run pillion sessions for the real littlies - VERY SLOW

This is NOT a motocross track.
The kids ride either their own little bikes and quads or I have a few bikes to loan, currently:

    three Suzuki 50 quads
three peewee 80 three-gear NO CLUTCH bikes.
    one PW50-no gear two stroke
    one ty80 4 gear with CLUTCH--same size as a pw80

ANYONE ABLE TO LOAN 50cc QUADS/BIKES or spare helmets PLEASEplease call me

HEADS UP FOLKS - PLEASE read the rules n stuff below

please no full on MX bikes I want to keep the speed/noise down
WHILST THE KIDS ARE BUSY WASHING THE BIKES
I'll fire up a barbie and have a hot sausage or two, maybe even a bevvy.

EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO COME ALONG FOR A WATCH

Here's a linkee to a map of where we are:http://www.wises.co.nz/l/Auckland/He...Corban+Avenue/

please confirm you will be attending-HERE http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ca...getinfo&e=1690

    RULES N STUFF.
Sorry to be a pedantic sod but safety is paramount.

1)ALL riders MUST be wearing either gumboots,Motorbike boots or leather boots that cover above the ankle. (basicly something that well covers the lower legs.)

2)If riding ANYTHING anyone must wear a helmet.
I have a few lids and a old HJC lid which will be there to use. For the real littlies I have a couple of bicycle helmets -

    3) We need to keep all non riders/marshals a little way away from the actual track whilst the riding is happening.

    4) Changing riders will happen only in the pits

    5)Dangerous riding wont be allowed.
Its all about having fun so We will just stop the kid concerned and let em know what to do different. if they repeat it we'll stop em again

    STUFF YOU SHOULD BRING
    1) A change of clothes for you and your kids -it gets prewtty muddy out there

    2) Some food and drink for lunch --the nearest food place is 5 minutes drive away. Our sponsor will supply sausages n drinks for the kids later in the day

    3) some water for face/hand washing and a towel.

    4) IF POSSIBLE- a helmet for your kid /kids

    WHAT I NEED
some more 50cc bikes and 50/80cc quads

A Barby-the cooker not the doll

    Lightweight wooden/plastic stakes about 1.0m long--HEAPS
    More Yellow tape.

HELPERS -on the afternoon before to mark things out .
Helpers on the day to help round the track and in the "pits"
HELPERS AFTERWARDS TO CLEAN THE BIKES /BACK YARD

Will be in for this, come hell or high water. (Mr 6 has already marked it on the calendar)

Can help with the yellow tape and helping in the pits/on the track as per last time (can't clean bikes afterwards though, wife might expect me to do it at home!)

    See you folks there!

My boy should be in for this - missed the last one. Can't help with supplying gear or bikes tho.

EDIT: Buggerit - same day as the Santa Parade, which I am committed to.
Anyone going to it, look out for the 6Yo spaceman...
