before I got my full I was on an exemption... my story... I said I had no other form of transport other than a motorbike... no public transport/was not financially benificial... I also said my 'learner legal' bike was not road worthy, and I had a bigger bike... I said i couldn't afford to fix the smaller bike, or buy a new one... and that I needed transport to get a job/go to my job...

sooooo.... best advice... buy a cheap shitter road legal big bike... and say your 250 is fucked... and that you need to ride to be able to support yourself...

    good luck man

good god man... do a search There is also more info hiding on the forum, that has been said.

http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...7&postcount=29 For me, it was my weight and size, the bike not being able to cope, even with the suspension stiffened as much as possible.

Basically, as per wording on DL4, you have to prove (words more or less) that "you are no less dangerous", and there is a need for it.

Link contains what I wrote, and I also took 6 pictures of bikes (1 was of my own) of varying capacities, and potential problems with each. For me, even the old model sv650 was too small.

Search (advanced search), read, you'll have all the answers you could need.

I think you'l find with your driving history Tex that they might give you a short sharp fuck off.

But give it a go, and then buy my 750.

I already have, I just didnt get my restricted when I could have. I am also at the limits on my 250.

I am gonna paint my bike next week since my fairings have arrived and put it up for sale when I have made sure its mint and going to serve the next owner well. I figure I can get $3500 for it. I have enough money to buy something else I am just deciding what to buy. The only reason I really want the exemption is to be legal when riding to work.

Get your license sorted out then.

Oh sorry that's the right way and you wanted an easy way.

    Sorry about that.

Sure you know already but you'll be uninsured without a full license.

If you don't have a pretty clean driving record then they will take your money and politly tell you to fuck off.
