AKL's Westpac Run Sunday 13th Feb

Sunday 13th February at Karaka Bloodstock
    (Motorway, Papakura Turnoff)
    leaving 11 am.

Meet at Papakura Autobahn at say 9.45am...

Leave there by 10 am all fueled up....

:spudwave: Just reminding everyone that it is on next weekend.

I can see everyone getting geared up for the races at Paeroa and maybe forgetting about this special event.

I would like to meet with some of you like Holy Rider and Grumpy. I will be wearing a black T-shirt with the "Look out for Motorbikes" sign on the back. There are only 50 of these so may be we could arrange a meeting spot and time?

I'll have my KB tee shirt on denim vest over my leather jacket white open face helmet and possibly have Jr on the back if he is good (bribery and corruption can at times be a good thing).

Buggery bugger, I forgot about this. Am working on that day. Might be able to get a shift change, but might not have a bike - will have to see what happens.

Can you arrange that because I will be there bright(?) and early as I am involved in organizing the event.

I was thinking of a spot at the grounds, say at 10.30am :spudwhat:

Can you add/edit into your first post, in big red bold letters, where and what time its all starts from.

So that others will get all the info as well. Cheers.

Funny that. Must have had a senoir moment.
I pushed all the right buttons (good at that) but nothing happened at my end. Mind you, I wasn't getting all the smilies etc in your text and I couldn't add any.
It must have been the little people, just when I wasn't looking.

We normally meet at the a/b beforehand, but I guess that's no good for you....you better reserve a KB area at the start

Well if its starting at 11am on the dot....

Then why not meet at Papakura Autobahn at say 10am...

Leave there by 10.15am all fueled up....

Then we have plenty of time at the start of it to get badges and check out other bikes etc etc....

    How about that?????
    Any other suggestions???

Sorry but it will be too difficult to reserve an area for KBers.
But if you arrive in one mass, as from Autobahn Papakura, you should be in the line up together.
My experience with the ride is only of a few years but I would say to move your times forward by 15 minutes and leave the Autobahn by 10 am. You will have to go down to Drury and come back up the motorway.
There will all ready be heaps of bikes there and you will know half the people which is a lot of talking to catch up on.
There are portaloos and some refreshments available at the beginning. And more at the end.
Usually about 1000 bikes are there.
