It's ok guys, Eskdale road is safe now.

    But where'd it go...
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

PHOENIX - A man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of a photo radar van operator as he worked on a highway in Phoenix.

are they all white? Anyone seen any other colours being used? One colour only is great, slow down for that white speck in the distance.

Isnt it easier to be wary of anything with a tinted back window parked suspiciously on the side of a busy road??

Bugger me, can I get a job working one of those? What comfort!

I validated the "K-Band radar" statement yesterday.

The tax collector in his/her L300 van has obviously been given one of the new cameras that ARE operating on the K-Band.
I went past and nothing signalled. Pulled over and switched on the K-Band on the STi, then did a U turn and did an extra couple of passes.

    Results:
    Bel STi.
Approaching the cameravan head-on. Detection range approx 800metres.
Approaching cameravan from opposite direction (Radar beam heading away from detector). Detection range approx 150metres.

redflex (aussie)k band 24.100 ghz and very hard to pick up with a detector even top of the range
sent in my sti to get upgraded as it was only getting 200m on the ka and 50m on the new k
now I have it back just need to find a couple of cameras to check how the new upgrade is

trouble is with k on you get all the crap signals...at least the sti can be set to C to filter out most

How about teaching a lesson for the people speeding, crashing and using the tax payers money on ACC ?

    OH NO HE DIDN'T.

There's always two sides to the coin.

I never get the people who perform aggressive attacks on people who aren't doing anything wrong, or aren't in the wrong when the attacker is the one in the wrong.

Easily fixed. Just remove the front number plate from your bike.

I don't have one, but my WOF inspector has been passing me without a front plate for a year now, should I be worried he's not authorized to do it properly?

The fines are rediculously excessive. Do some research... we're getting raped!

Perhaps you should vent your anger at those who place "speed cameras" at locations which have no correlation with accidents.
The "speed camera" was introduced into NZ on the premise that they would ONLY be used in accident black-spots. Since then they have become used as a taxation gathering device.
