Pre BBQ Ride 3/10 Levin - Welly - Masterton - Palmy

well as per the "Other Thread" regarding the BBQ 86GSXR is organising and Monamie is Hosting, and keeping the traddition of a pre BBQ ride, this one will be a loop to pick up riders from other districts who want to do the ride & attend.

Be leaving Levin around 10am, down to wellywood (picking up any riders fr Otaki, Kapiti) to caltex at base of Rimutaka's, then over to masterton for a quick bite & pick up another 5 riders who are coming.

now depending on riders experience level & how my arm is holding up may see if the faster riders want to do the back roads of Alfredton, and the slower group can do a wee flick just out of Masterton & meet up at BP Paihatua, and a quick stop for supplies then over the track to Mo's place ..

if you plan on staying the nite, plenty of floor so bring a sleepingbag,

and since riders coming near & far will be a most excellent nite .. who is in ??

Bumpity bump

well now less than a week to go & wow its shaping up to be a great wee ride with a fantastic BBQ & get together that nite - long term forcast is looking great on sat .. may be a bit wet sunday .. but then the forcast was for a crap day yesterday & it was fine .. sooooooooooo we should be sweet

anyhow if your coming either add your name to the calendar, or pm me so I know where we are doing pick ups & stops .. this is going to be a cruisy type ride with a TEC,

I can advise Otaki, Waikane and pram we will be doing slow rolling pick ups and be stopping at rimutex for refueling, & a break for the palmy riders before heading over the hill (so for those riders I can send a text as we are about to leave Levin so you have some idea of timings)

Once I confirm where we are stopping for lunch & by thurs I will post up the full ride plan so get ya sleeping bags ready for an awesome nite

Awesome Eugene, I live on the back road between levin & shannon so figure with palmy crew coming down I will just park bike outside home and we will start off from there

I'll keep an eye out but don't worry about waiting for me, my timing estimates can be quite terrible (I never time anyting while im riding, so I never know how long it takes to get anywhere ). I'll either see you at yours rather early, or at levin, or somewhere along the way

depends on what part of welly your coming from but usually a hour 20 gets me from my place to pretty much anywhere in welly and thats usually puttering along (with odd bursts of speed) either way eugene your not going to miss the convoy and we are doing rolling pick ups along the way, just between Otaki & Te Horo, Waikane and pram (mobil) so if your running late just pick a spot & wait for us .. I will toot when we go past
