with all the focus being on the world cup lately its good to see the passion is still going strong for the local competition
Rugby = Meh. I used to love it as a kid, but went off it once the Super 12 started up (1995). Since then it's hype hype hype hype hype rugby analyse analyse analyse hype etc.
Even though I've lived in Christchurch all my life and always been a Canterbury supporter, I don't mind that Auckland won - aside from them deserving some compensation for having to live in the city, I also bet on them to win in Telecom Virtual Rugby. More points for me!![]()
Soapbox house of cards and glass, so don't go tossing your stones around.
You musta been.... high. You musta been...
Bugger.......but on a bright side being an expat aucklander its still in my home town!....trouble is I support Canterbury more than auckland now
meh, the Ranfurly Shield should be put up for all games not just home ones.
I remember Auckland holding the shield for 8 years and eventually toured it around the smaller unions like North Otago where John Kirwan got a record 14 tries.
Now any holder seems to challenge the worst possible team they can find.
I dont really follow rugby these days and the Ranfurly Shiled is just another reason for that.
