KB KIDS OFFROAD DAY
Thursday1st January 9am-5pm
This is for your KIDS to get a taste of riding their Trail bike/Quad in a safe environment

Meet Up at the pits which is 400m down Pacific road -off of Black Swamp road, Mangawhai--see the map

Then we head to the "tracks" which are 2 loops One about 800 m long and is a simple loop with a couple of corners a few ups n downs on a big bit of land that’s mostly grass with a really clear dirt track ridden into it.
It's aimed at novices/less experienced riders from 4-12 years old.
The other track has a fair few corners ,a few humps n bumps and a couple of hills to keep things fun. its aimed at riders with at least some riding experience as its up through the forest on tracks and theres some slightly chalanging bits
This takes my boys n girl about 2 minutes to cover on their PW80's
Meanwhile theres room to camp but due to the fire ban its gas fires only I'm sorry.


This is NOT a motocross track.
The kids ride their own bikes and quads

this is on private land so we need to keep things civilised to be honest experienced riders are lilely to get bored please no full on MX riders or please lets keep the speed down

DIRECTIONS

Either--From Auckland
Take the mangawhai turn off. aprox 18km on your RIGHT is Coal Hill road -this turns into a dirt road after 1km. When you get to a t intersection turn left This is Black Swamp road. .0km down this road is a forestry road with a big gate. Its called Pacific road.
About 500m down this road take the FIRST gate on your left
heres the mapee--Pacific road isn't on there-but its 1.0km from the coal hill road end of black swamp.
OR
Take the mangawhai turn off. Drive untill you get to a gas station -Get your fuel n water n stuff there. Head back the way you came back over the causeway. Turn LEFT into black swamp road about 5.0km on the left is a forestry road with a big gate. Its called Pacific road.About 500m down this road take the FIRST gate on your left

you need to go about 300m before you find us but the grass is all mashed down --you wont have any worries.

RULES N STUFF.
Sorry to be a pedantic sod but safety is paramount.

1)ALL riders MUST be wearing either gumboots,Motorbike boots or leather boots that cover above the ankle. (basicly something that well covers the lower legs.)


2)If riding ANYTHING anyone must wear a helmet.

3) We need to keep all non riders/marshals a little way away from the actual track whilst the riding is happening.

4) Changing riders will happen only in the pits

5)Dangerous riding wont be allowed.
Its all about having fun so We will just stop the kid concerned and let em know what to do different. if they repeat it we'll stop em again



STUFF YOU SHOULD BRING
1) A change of clothes for you and your kids -it gets pretty dusty out there

2) Some food and drink for lunch (read that as LOTS of drinks)--the nearest food place is 20 minutes drive away.
3) some water for face/hand washing and a towel.

Hey this is gonna be super casual. You guys rock up and do ya thing.
Theres a beach nearby for swimming and if ya wanna pitch a tent for the night its all good.
The only nono is open fires

John --all good mate--I wont have spare gear but it looks like Ill have at least one spare 50cc bike and at least part of the time a spare quad

This is definitely happening Ive got a 12 year old thats as keen as mustard to get back out riding.
We rode the trails yesterday and they are all in really good condition.
BUT
There are NO facilities at all --No water etc.
Theres a long drop loo
