    Goodbye Morpheus (16 Sept 2004 - 29 March 2007)

My gorgeous cat Morpheus got hit by a car and killed last night, just outside home. He was only 2.5 years old and a total treasure.

    Isn't it funny what a hole a 5 kilo fur-meister can leave?

    Goodbye my beautiful boy.

    I will miss you heaps.

Bugger to hear about that, well he's in catnip heaven now and probably still sleeping! At least you had that time together

Ghey Gotta keep cats in at night in residential areas, that's when they're most likely to get run down. Cats being cats, well they sorta don't like that :S

We used to have two older cats called Flash and Beemer. Both have died in the past two years and my husband still calls the current three by their names. It's hard to lose a furry member of the family and I wish more people would realise this. I still miss my cat who died in 2002 and I don't think I will ever stop thinking about her.

The one consolation we have is that ours are unlikely to suffer this cruel fate as we live up a steep 60m long driveway and they rarely wander near the road. Poor furry baby, sorry to hear of Morpheus' death.

No, he was an Eastbourne boy. And sorely missed.

Sweetheart, I am so so sorry that you had to lose him this way.

There's nothing anyone can say that's going to make it better, but we're all here for you.

    RIP Morphy

Condolences to you too, mate. There's only so much you can do to keep them safe. Lock them in at night (which I always did - this happened about 7.45pm) make sure they've got their name and phone number on, keep them fed and loved.
