What do you do for a job?

It just occured to me that maybee us Kiwibikers can support one another when it comes to work on our bikes or other stuff.
If Im gonna shell out my hard earned cash I'd rather pay someone I know rather than a stranger.
I'm not a lot of use in my current job--I sell cars and vans and the occasional bike for a living.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

I still live at home, so I suppose I can speak on behalf of my dad, who can try and help anyone with any airhead beemer issues from around 1950 thru 1990. 25 or so years experience and lots and lots of bits available. Apart from that I can't volunteer our workshop but if you ask really nicely and need something fixed and can pay promptly, maybe you might be able to wrangle a deal out. Not cheap, but generally the work is done properly, or at least as you asked it to be. We do have a small lathe and various welding appliances. However anything structural on a bike is out as there are safety issues and the business wont take the risk.

IT Consultant (keyboard monkey), I've been in the industry for 15 years. Mostly I do Network Administration and occasionally when my minions stuff up I actaully fix a plebs computer or two. I also do software development among a few other things.

I manage the southern hemisphere's largest and most advanced digital scanning camera facility. We're based in the National Library of NZ, just up from Parliament Buildings.

If you've researched rare books, work for the Waitangi Tribunal, or seen Lord of the Rings, you've seen my work.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
