I had that down for the 14th. Dunno why, that's a Wednesday. But 4th is a Sunday. Something strange going on.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Count me in.

And as a non wheelier, I'm more than happy to stand by the pit wall and watch the other lads giving it a go.

Keep the wheelie session on I say.

    Cheers

    I'm in

Thanks again Chris for a good format . I sure will do what I can to make the September day and I know some others keen to return. I think you will find most riders got enough track time as it was (knackered by day's end). So as for the wheelie session I think the break was welcomed, but hey I would say that. My avatar sums that up. Hard yacker pulling in from the wheelie session to go straight back out for the next ride session.
Where was the hot drinks dispenser? It was cold you know.

I guess that I don't qualify as the special guest then.

Yeah I'm in. That last effort was primo. Keep the wheelie session as it breaks the day up and encourages normal folk to act like goons. Ray volunteering his time again is a bonus. It's bloody great that guys like Clee and Bernard take time out to come down and watch us lot wobble around the track.

Suppose I'd better order my K5 1000 soon so it arrives in time for the 4th.

Frosty email me a entry form theres a good lad.

I'd definantly be keen. I'm slowly building a bike for racing but that's a wee way off, is there any track time where I could just take on my normal bike without perhaps thrashing it ( What I mean is do people get p1ssed off at slower riders )

There are three categories of rider, so you could start in novice and see how it goes ?

I'd like to see you *not* thrash it after a few laps though...

Yup. I'm in for this puppy. New paint job and all.

Keep the wheelie session, Chris. If people know there's going to be a "show off" session during the day, they're less likely to stunt it up during track sessions. I know from other KBers it makes the non wheeliers feel inadequit and small peckered when we wheelie past them.

Can I have an entry form, either from you Chris or that Frosty fellah?

(Oh yeah, Tony? Do you ever want your van back or can I keep it?)

Once you understand that you have more than 1 gear, you might be surprised at how fast your bike could be.

They have not paid to race, they have paid to take their bike on track at a track day. You were a slow cunt once, and may still be.

ill still be holding other people up an feel obliged to move out of there way, if i was on a CBR1000 doing max speed down a straight i would be screaming green red an blue murder if there was someone on a 250 ruining my line into the corner, possibly sending me off the track to avoid hitting him, wouldn you?

if someone is on a cbr1000 and is screaming down the strait and still cant get past you on a 250 then there is something wrong with them. there are heaps of places to pass.

if your not confident on the track just go in the slower group and dont worrie about other people. just hold your lines and faster riders will move around you.
the accidents happen when slow riders try and move out the way of the faster people and get hit from behind.

im slow but i still go out. if someone cant get past me then its there prob.

its all about having fun dude.

    Mikey--pull ya head in sunshine.
Trust ol frosty here --a two fiddy or for that matter a FXR150 will be fine on the track day.
I'm 100% certain that faster riders will find space to get past you --even inexperienced fast riders.
Just the same as the taupo track day except there are 3 straights to pass on not just one. I came up behind guys a shit load slower than me a heap of times and it only slowed me down for one corner maybee two.

Milky.. the best advice i was ever given on track days was to remove my mirrors. the idea being to concentrate on riding your self... let the others pass you. remember, its not a race and hopefully no one will try and stuff it underneith you into a corner or anything.
yeah... sorry bro, i thought that ment miles 'n hour.

I think you're missing the point mikey.

It is not a race and if you were doing max speed on a ride day and someone on a 250 was "one your line" and you binned it trying to avoid him/her... it would be your fault not theirs.

If it was a race then you wouldn't be in the same class as someone on a 250.

This is a ride day which is something completely different from a race.
