Anyone prepared to ride with us noobs is welcome at my house.
Wow thks for da offer! You're welcome at my place too, however, note that I only have a 21" TV and no PS2 or Xbox.

Like everyone else, I have my share of excuses; Too wet, too dry, bike problem, managed to scored lastnight and no mojo left for riding, cat died of old age and am still mourning, etc etc.

Anyway, lets talk about the next ride... Mav? Anyone?

Well, as predicted by Mav's Weather Genie (tm) we had a beautiful day out on the bikes - didn't think the weather would last into the late afternoon so we took a short trip to Kaiaua (again) - pictures attached - including a message for those who said they were coming but didn't because of the ...erm weather. Allergic to sunshine obviously!

Great time was had - no licences lost and Mav reckons he saw a policeman but I didn't.

Lil Sel came along without her bike but did a fantastic job of preventing any fast cars from shunting us up the rear!

We would also like to mention that gijoe1313 has managed to kill yet ANOTHER L plate on his mighty Hornet. A small ceremony was held when we got back to mine.

Judging from the pictures it looks like it was a fun ride. I think I've got a pretty legitimate excuse for not turning up

Not necessarily WarlockNZ - it's just that the combination of weather and the fact that the group comprised just 3 sober and responsible riders with 4 wheeled support vehicle meant they probably looked and decided that it would be a waste of resource.

It was a waste of resource in the beginning ... i can say so much right now, but my god, the fact that the police waste resource on law abiding, "responsible riders" just grinds my gears. whats the reason? .. i'd love a member of the force to answer that.

Or perhaps Hellraiser alone is full of shit?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what organisation the Police use to train their motorcycle units, or is it an internal department?

I've read in some places that the Officers are sent overseas for training.

AHHH the scoop ... motocycle training for the NZ police is done in house by SGT Wayne Christie, hes apparently the SHIT! .. blew the yanks away when he got sent over there for training. according to the old man ... wayne is a shit hot rider who really knows his stuff ... and by the by, him and the old man started on the same division, which i would assume would be the old MOT bike squad.
