They are only words after all guys!

However TO, what you said in your afterthought post was very insulting to those you directed it at, and if you said it to their face you would definately receive a right thumping.

I understand your reaction guys, I had a member tell me to FOAD (I had to look up what it meant) when I joined this site and so I challenged to meet him to "discuss" our differences. Anyway, we never met up in the end and surprisingly we have become quite friendly now!

    Let it go I say.

Blimmin heck! High Noon in Otaki.....

Queues theme music from the Magnificent Seven

A jangle of spurs on the dusty street as the traffic melts off the main highway. A lone tumbleweed drifts across the forecourt under a too bright sun!.

The shot pulls in tight to a booted heel flipping out the sidestand (you know, in black and white so you know it's artisic, like a U2 video or summat)

Stepping from behind thier steed, our 2 helmeted gladiators face each other. An abandoned shutter swings in a sudden gust of wind and bangs loudly in the frame, neither flinch and the clap of sound only emphasises the quiet rather than filling it.

The tension in the street is as intense as

    Well..

A really intense time.. (You know, like when you bought your first condoms from the chemist and were so embarassed you had to buy a comb as well, even though you were 35 and bald)

Oops- Sorry. back to the movie

Cindy lou peeps from behind the tightly drawn shades. "Git away from that window girl" growls her mother, a toothless crone, old before her time in the harsh Otaki wilderness.....

"But Maw" "I wanna see who wins" the young girl wails...

The old woman stares vacantly into the darkness, a single tear rapidly dries in the parched climate as she remembers the girls father that never came back from that forecourt ......

Reaching across she grabs Cindy Lou and looks deep into the impressionable girls soul... "Aint nobody wins out on the Forecourt you fool girl. Even if you survive this time you still loose".....

Tears form in 2 sets of eyes.

A sudden noise from the street and it's over..... For now!

    Fade to black

    Fade music

Sound of wind moaning mournfully through the petrol pumps...

    End....

(cut the dramatics guys - kiss and make up, lifes too damn short)

    Gentlemen,

Could I suggest rather than having a stoush over whether The One is a 13 y.o. on a nifty 50 or whatever the original allegation was, might it be easier if The One could post a pic of himself next to his bike with a "I love Kiwi Biker" sign or some such.

This would satisfy the curiosity of members, and remove the need for any sort of confrontation.

Realistically, even if you did have a punch up over it, your both going to be wearing padded protective gear, and would have a hard time doing any damage to each other.

As for Mr TheOne (sorry, it feels gramatically poor to call you just 'The One') may I respectfully offer some advice?

All and sundry are welcome on these boards, indeed their strength is through the diversity of their membership. However, as in all social groupings a culture will develop. A culture will has certain rules, conventions, and unspoken understandings.

I spent a few weeks lurking to get a feeling for the culture before I started posting, and even then I did get a bit of a ribbing with some of my first posts. This is much the same as you or I would expect to occur in a social group in real life.

What I feel has happened is that you may have misjudged the culture of the group with your original post. Don't sweat it, this happens. But it's up to you what happens from here.

If you want to get along with the people on the board, then you might have to accept that the general concensus that your behaviour in this instance was not acceptable.

I'm sure you've got some slightly less dangerous stories to tell us, and if your keen to write them, I'm keen to read them.

But it's up to you how you want things to progress between yourself and other KB'ers.
We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. The whole department is fucked. It's the biggest cock-up ever. We're all completely fucked.

oh man. it can get a bit sad at times. We all agree that The One did a bad thing. One can only hope that hes like the rest of us and learning. Speed can be tempting at times and if we were in his situation (blasting past a cop) at that speed I might even think "shit im fucked now, ill keep going". I did like his juxstapositional response and wished id brought popcorn as well (microwave stuff aint too bad) but his responses dont seem to be that of a idiot savant so lets cut him a break and leave it where it stands.
A little quote (if i remember it right) from a book i saw today, im sure someone here knows what its from, probably jrandom

"heres a simple test to see if your mission in life is complete. If your alive it isnt."

have a fuken awesome weekend people.

It will make everyone feel better if they go out west (if they live in aucks ) then up via kaukapapa to welsford then out thru mangawhai to waipu (waipu straights are policed so take it easy) then shoot out to russel via the east coast (awesome views) and lots of corners, then over the ferry and thru paihia up to kaikohe and back down thru dargaville and return to aucks via kaukapakapa. will take all day and scrub your tyres all the way out. but highly recommended.
anyones else done it ? oops off topic but i think its been beaten enough, dont you ?

well been there done that, if u speed its up to u, and its u who feels good and also u who'll feel the pain when u stuff up. But... if you are clever you won't have posted on a forum what you did. As there is probly a log on this forum that records the IP of the person posting, traces back to an ISP address. With proper warrents ISP will tell the cops your account details, then with your nicely written summary of your offences on this forum they'll come and cuff u up and then there won't be no fun anymore would it?

Plus in a few months time google will have probly indexed this forum, then it won't be hard to find out about you.

Please don't tell me that this has diffused. I was negotiating the movie rights with Peter Jackson -- "King Nong" -- and planned to get international satellite coverage for the rematch/sequel "Otaki II -- Revenge of the nerds!"

You guys make me laugh, and do you really think the cops will waste their time getting a warrant, with ISP. What are the gonna charge me with egg nog, writing a dangerous letter at speed. If you knew anything they need a time date and place. Think about it.

Firstly - I am assuming your original post was bullshit and it was pure trolling. Travelling at anything over the speed limit on a well used and regular piece of NZ highway is nothing short of insanely stupid, and quite frankly who cares - any moron can travel at speed in a straight line.

I also think that had you kept the number of police to a realistic number, some of us may have believed you, but I think you went a little too far and way in to the realms of 'made the story up while stoned on the couch' territory. Now are you sure this didn't happen on your playstation 2 just prior to your mum telling you off for playing late on a school night?

Now to answer your points in turn

I thought this site was for bikers who love to ride fast not for pussies as most of you guys seem to be.
If this is what you think - you better fuck off. And here is hoping you never come on a ride with me. What is your obsessions with riding fast? You have yet to prove anything. Any fuckwit can ride fast on a straight bit of state highway.....and I use fuckwit pointedly! All this proves is you are a typical straight line jockey.

I bet you own a boy racer car and use the words owned and pwned.

We are all about riding fast - just not fucken stupid.....try to find out the difference!

    Now this is just trolling.

I think you are a little misguided here. No one on here will attest to never riding fast. However most on here know where and when to do it, and are more concerned in point to point speed, not terminal velocity. As I said above, any pillock can travel at 300kph if they so choose.......but I bet you walk your bike around the corners! Show us some pics of your chicken strips?

Quite frankly I just find you mildly amusing - in a 'playing counterstrike with 10 year olds' kinda way.

I bet you don't have a bike, and nor did the story actually occur at all.

Once you have ridden with people on here, then spin shit.....until then, just spout bullshit

I'm not one to talk as i've gapped it a few times, been caught a few times to, not something i'm proud about or brag about.
But i'm sure there are alot of people on this site who have pinned it away from the police, correct me if i'm wrong please.

But the one thing i can't understand is, if i ever get into that kinda situation i get off the MAIN road asap and park up somewhere, this carries advantages:
    1. You're not risking your life or others.
    2. You're not going to wirte your bike off.
    3. Shorter the better

You always gotta think at that kinda speed if someone wants to pass, they (hopefully) look in their mirrors, see you miles behind and pull out, why not? The fact that you're pulling in excess of 200kph means you're be saying hello to there bumper, what did they do wrong? (apart from being in a car)

Carry on down SH1 of all the roads to be going down and stay on it, of course there are going to be more cops further on. I was riding home from welly today, got onto Gordonton Rd jus outta Hamilton and saw two HP with a kay of each other 5 km down a rego an WOF checkpoint, then a patrol guy where it meet with SH1. Twas a slow steady trip to auckland.

I'm not going to bag you for what you did The One, i just think you could've handled it a whole lot better and a whole lot safer, yes save it for the track but i know alot of guys who go fast on the road and yes it is irresponsiable (sp) (bad education) but we do it for reason's unknown, and enjoy it but there are far better roads than SH1 to be on, with less traffic and police, roads where 120-140kph is fast, the corners mate that's where it's ALL at.

    Ride safe and have fun.
