And likewise, Madame V, albeit briefly. More prolonged phatic communion will be necessary at our next connection.

It was good to see you in our town V and pleased the VTR performed up to expectation.

I'm glad the birthday cake was well received too and I hope someone ate my piece seeing I'm on a diet otherwise I will never fit my leather trou again.
    Cheers

You are more than welcome, was a pleasure to meet you.
I am more than impressed with the number of k's you did during the weekend to make the party and the track day. Did you ride all the way home?

    Cheers mate.

    Yep, I did...and I got witnesses too!

Got to admit I am a little bit proud of my effort. (about 1300kms in 2 and a half days).

Was offered to have a spell in the cage during a stopover in Te Kuiti, but by then, it had become a personal mission! Noway was I going to give in...

Admitedly, I wasn't tired enough to justify it, otherwise I would have given in. Safety first always, eh?

Do you get referred to as V as no one can spell your name?

Yep...although it has gotten better over the years. Probably cos I can pronounce it better than when I had a stronger french accent.

I got a bit tired of the following scebnario:

    Me: Hi! my name's Veronique.
Counterpart: Hi!....what is your name sorry?
    Me: VERONIQUE...
    Counterpart: I'm sorry....what? Veeenonik???
Me: no, that's ok! Just call me V...
