The meeting isn't 100% by any means . If we are to have a meeting it has to be constructive and not pie in the sky stuff. Remember the series was run by voluteers but still cost money to run. The other problem is circuit availablity dates and the increased costs , try $20,000 for the weekend at one circuit during the last series. Don't believe it ask Mel at Vic Club.

So anything that is either proposed or implemented has to be costed out before hand.Because I know that's exactly what Paul Stewart use to do?

TV doesn't come free , advertising doesn't come free , nothing is free except voluteers time (sorry about spelling).

Also just to clarify a couple of things , all you people who are current Road Race MNZ licence holders , please cast your votes for President. Is it time for a change ? You be the judge , this cock up has happened under the current President and Board , is it time for a change? well you are probably dammed if you do or don't but one thing is for sure you will never know unless you vote.

This whole situation has come about completely un-necessary

We want dates and Circuits , Class ideas and more.. This won't be a talk fest it is has to try and achieve something.

    Ian

    I say sooner than that.

What about Taupo? Central for most? I can sort venue.

Do we post up an ideas list for an agenda?
    eg. What classes, Supers/F1/Privateers etc,
What dates - when was a racer actually asked what dates they wanted?
    Consecutive weekends.
    Prizemoney?
    TV coverage?
    How many rounds?
    Control tyres?
Giving more back for sponsors - eg whole class sponsor.
Making sure everyone has details of all rounds on their own websites.
Cheaper entries for newbies stepping up a class to boost numbers?

The list can be added to by concerned individuals.
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

For North Islanders Yes , but if we are talking the whole country then wellington is better.

Also heres a thought why not make the Two tri-series circuit rounds count towards points?

Well, we could do. But it would mean an extra trip up north for the South Island riders - but they would get to do Wangy also..... (If they wanted to).

It would also mean extra costs for riders at my meeting though.... something they may not want.... but as you said, it would then add extra rounds to the Nat series.....

hold that thought. Anyone else got any ideas? May be a round of the Vic winter series two day meet in September could be say a points round for say Formula 3/Pro Twin and 125GP an then the Tri-series have points for Superbike , Sidecars and 600SP only. There is no reason really why classes all have to at the same meeting is there?

The actual full on Championship dates would be all classes. That is if you can get the circuits (which is the biggest problem).

    Just thoughts , any suggestions?

Didnt that happen a few years back?? f3 and 125s had a couple of different rounds as did SBK and 600s(with the cars i think),2001/03??
Why did that stop? Also wanganui was part of the Sport production Nats back in the 90s.

Funny how there are not many new ideas eh Brad!

May be with a bit of thought and it could happen again.

Anyway that's my lot for now , have to fire up the 110 and get back out on road.

As previously stated someone needs to pick up the dropped batten and run with it and I'm happy to work with anyone who needs some assistance.

Wanganui stopped being part of the Nationals because they didnt want the hassles of all the regulations put in place for a Nationals class or classes to run at their event. Those regulations are the General Competition Rules that are put in place by MNZ members (Not MNZ on their own).
My Signature is my Reg No.

Hi Shaun no argument re Scrivy etc but you are deluding yourself if you think that the commissioners positions are a popularity contest IE that the guy with the most votes gets the Job, wrong commissioners are appointed by an interview in front of a panel of MNZ appointee's.

Why is that? MNZ clearly sit on their collective fat arses & pay checks while the poor bastard that is elected puts in over 1000 hours a year volintarily.
Why would MNZ give a flying fuck who it is when theyre not paying him? Or do they interview him so as to be sure that the dude will put up with the shit that they dish out to him?
