Having some trouble uploading here, don't know how much info you guys can get from the picture, but its up the Right branch of the Wairoa gorge.
My Mapsource doesn't have names of the forestry roads like other areas.
Yes, it involves wet feet and mucho ice at present. It would be a good idea to take a buddy if you're heading in that way, follow Woodman's lead on Sunday maybe.

Shane says "You'd better be able to get up that hill. Don't make me get Grace out there on her CRF230 and show you how it's done. You bunch of slack arsed wimps."

    Or words to that effect...

I wouldn't have minded havin a CRF230 weighing in 100kg, and a good knobbly on either. Yep, it's doable, but I think bigger ADV bikes will be geared too high..... that hill is definitely 14T front sprocket country.
Go on, you know you want to ..............

It is do-able. Got up a couple of times on the old xl600 when it was dry. I was glad to get to the top. It is a very steep gravelly rutty slippery hill at the moment.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Thanks for the PM crazyfrog ,now I know where it was woody !, If I'd known it was that easy to get to I would have come over and nabbed it .
Would make a nice outing in the dry tho ,CF and I had a look at that steep hill from the top a few months ago and decided not to take it on incase we couldnt get out through the bottom road

Roadie friendly, this one shouldn't need any clues.
Padmei's driveway would have been too easy.

BAM aaah shit, just dropped the bike putting it away, sort of laid of down. Managed to pick it up easy enough. Looks like a bent front brake lever and maybe a new footpeg. Is there anything else that I should be checking on it?

The prob is turning it around in the small garage. I ended up with my back against the wall trying to push it backwards, and over it went. I saw a video somewhere of a person sorta spinning their bike on their sidestand - does anyone know how to do that, and could ya teach me??

Also there was a tiny puddle of fuel on the ground afterwards, is this normal? Would it have come outta the tank cap?

Speaking of shed nites, whens the next one ?

I'd like to get my head around this "static sag/race sag suspension setup deal nordie and werewolf have been discussing in nordies other thread.

Easyier to grasp when it's explained with a real bike to fiddle with I think
