OK the D606's are on - 3hrs to do both! Don't think I'll be in a hurry to do that again by choice LOL! Front wheel now feels real interesting on hard cornering on tarmac!

I'll try real hard to get up early enough to butter up a dozen hot cross buns for you nutters to have with your coffee!

    CYA in the morning!

    Cheers, Dave

well great day for a ride out, had my new nobys E-09s on, was so looking forward to trying them on the tuckers, there great, just love them.
up on summit watched the sun shine on all us for a while.
headed off to winui to meet the other chaps, nice ride down, not much traffic. started headed up winui hill,
my motor dies half way up, no lock up, no banging noises, just decided to stop.
hit the starter button...........nothing. shit, shit, shit. now what, so i turned it around and coasted down the cutter on the wrong side of the road...bumped in to MYGSX
comming up the other way, just happend to be a machanic in the van, yea mate shes fuked..., so i coasted down to the shell on seaview road, and ph home.......HHHEELLLPPP..

so i never made it to the ride, didnt get to meet MYGSX and ride with her, or my other mates, thanks andy and steve for stoping to take pics, cheers eddie for offer of your other bike.

now we go through the warranty game.

    Orongorongo station ride

Okay, so got permission to do this ride at the last minute.

All set to go, and bugger, wont start. So I'm running late, hoping that the guys haven't gone without me, get to the bottom of the Wainui Hill, & who's there to greet me but Joe, Andy, and Andrew & his friends with a trailer load of bikes.

Bugger, Joe......Hope it's something minor (but it doesn't look it).

Met with the others at BP Wainui then onto Orongorongo.

Bugger but the first hill seemed steep 1st thing. Eddie had a small drop here.

Views from the the top were awesome.

Eddie, Dave & me sat & watched the fun as the guys did a loop in the hills. MarkS was heard across about 1/2 a mile 'shit that's steep', for one downhill section. Andy Mac & Jim (Balrog) dropped their bikes on that...

Funny how it was easy on Trail bikes (they did a couiple of loops & were keen for more), but a challenge on Adventure Bikes with twice the weight.

Also the challenging uphill from this morning didn't seem too bad on the way down.

After lunch we had a ride up the river trails (until we met a grumpy DoC worker).

Dave had a big off on the trail - hit an erosion hole, lost it, went about another 25 ft then headbutted a bank. He's killed his helmet, but its done its job. He also injured his back...but kept riding. Quite a bit of damage to the front of the bike.

The last photo is the guys trying to figure out where to go after the DoC worker discussion (apparently we were tresspassing).

A couple of photos on the way back down the river.

Michael on the Pampera. Dave on the DR (note the out of line headlight). The guys at a gate.
