Pic 3 is pretty sweet. Overzelous blurring which makes too much of a sudden change from the backdrop to the bike at the bottom. But other than that it's pretty badass. What helmet is that? It's awesome

8, followed closely by 3. I like the use of depth-of-field to make the subject stand out. Also the subject is not overpowered by the background. Also they seemed to convey the most emotion.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Wot he said. Pic 1 is probably the third runner up, but those dirty great exhaust pipes just ruin the rest of the image for me.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

Three is the only photo that is 'not' flat. So I'll go for that.

Pic 5 is by far the best composition and use of the light.

Pic 3 would have been my choice of this set had it not been ruined by photoshopping - blur is out of control - grass is not natural colour - mixing B&W with colour is tacky.

Pic 7 has the most creative use of depth of field.

Pic 8 could have been a winner with a better angle for the bike and less DoF to make it pop.

Eight is the only one with any merit.

I could pick holes (less background for a kick off) but it's a good effort. Out of the (literally) thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands of pics I have taken I only rate a few dozen, from them about three are on the walls at home. That's a realistic ratio.

It would be cool to post a KB photo comp with different catergories but it'd be a mish to sift through.

Eight is it in my books, even though the subject matter isn't my cup of tea.

    11 and 13 aren't too shabby either.

5 was interesting but a little clichéd. 8 is a beautiful shot. I'll just go see the others.

Yeah, 11's really nice as well, but I do want to say a few words about 15....

The other pictures are of bikes, but 15 is about motorcycling ... because you can see the eyes. You can see the concentration, ridiculous physics and a machine made out of pieces that work together all in one shot. And it makes it clear that's what the shot is about. It's even on a track, and even on the exit of the esses. Nice work. Who's riding? (I assume we'll get told who took which picture once the judging is done)....

So, yeah, I vote for 15 (I'll go click the button). Then 8. Well done, guys. This is the coolest thing I've seen on KB for ages. Oh! My profile picture ...

thanks for the comments on pic 3, i will keep in mind all the suggestions.
It was a very common looking picture with lots of movement in the background.
But i like the way the bike stands out, so i Psed it a bit.
Ps- I got the helmet for States - SparX Rebel.
