'Been Ticketet' / Shadows Drinkup * DATE: TBA (Fri 29th April)

Welcome one and all to the 'Been Ticketed' / Lets go raid Shadows and drink all their cheap student beer. Show all those First Year's how its done event thread.

Actually, perhaps not the harrasment of students as quite a few of you KB'rs are most proberly in attendance at the fine University of Auckland (incl 2 of my flatmates)

But The plan is, First friday after break (29th I beleive) we go to shadows at whatever time you see fit (Im there straight after work no doubt as its my old drinking hole) and beer up. play pool etc. we can hold a pool tournament no doubt.

The other side of this event for those of us who have recently had a lttle 'brush' with the law (IE Im nodding in your direction Tristank) to laugh at each other stupid mistakes. and feel sorry for each others particularly large fines (still looking your way Tristank :P)

This is different for the offical April Meet and is a good chance for some of us Noobs to see what its like. that being said Ive never attended a KB meet before.

Please post or PM if interested, If we get too many peolpe we may need to make special arrangements or change the date to a less busy day. I doubt it though

If you are riding there is heaps of parking down the nearby roads for bikes at that time. just bring your chains and disk-locks. Personally I will be using public transport in and out.
If you come up through Albert Park. cross at the intersection. go straight ahead on the right hand side of the quad (bit with no buildings in it ) hang a hard right at the end and go the same distance again past the cafeteria. you will have undoubtably heard the noise by now but if not you will see stairs. Go up, err, to the top (3 stories?) and get harrassed by the bouncers and voila.

Most likely we will be in the booths at the far end (If you havent been there in a few years there is an extension at the back with 8 more booths and a pool table + a second bar)

Ahh, the olde watering hole. (Literally, I'm sure the Export gold is watered down there). I need no directions to Shad's, the problem was getting directions to B28 or Large Chem, always seemed to end up in Shads'. Speaking of reminiscing, who was there when there was still a uni club? Now that was :cool2: !

Yeah I figured I would need to go home first so I could drop my bike off and catch a train in.
I figure I could get there before 6:30 easily. hopefully its still a little light

I'd come, but there's just a small problem. I've got a Math 150 exam worth 20% that night. (How very nice of 3 of my papers each sticking their exams on the first 3 days back). So I'll endevour to come along but it looks like it'll be the bottomless cup of pepsi for a $1 for me.
