I listen to The Rock and Hauraki.

I was so pleased to get my normal ambulance back after I broke it - we had a pool truck with a broken radio that only played Solid Gold FM - Aaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!

I listen to the Rock but they have a lot of pop rock too, Hauraki is always good for the real classic stuff.

There are no stations in NZ that suit my needs. So in a couple of years, I'll set up a university radio! Yay!

    With you there bruddah.
I have been ripping my music to mp3's for a few years now. Have most of my favourite radio playlists made up - hit random on the 'puter player or ipod and have them pesky dj's and advertisements elminated.

Doesn't find you anything new only downside.
So I scan the dial and end up back at hauraki anyway, cause at least the music is occasionally worth the opiniated DJ and ads - go figure.

At least I've learned about NZ pub rock and how good some of that is.

Reminds me - I have one of those cheapo compliation CD's 'Greatest Australian Hits of all Time' - It has Dragon, Split Enz, Mi Sex, DD Smash, Max Merrit and Sharon Oneil on it.
Fortunately no '20 odd foot of grunt' - you can keep him!

No station here compares to 97.1 The Eagle back home. Sucks that they shut it down. Anyway all it played was pure rock. No hip hop, no rap no classical no country just straight hardcore ROCK!!!
