Wairarapa Quarter Mile Sprints: 25th Sept 05

    .
    .

The Wairarapa boys (and girls) are holding the standing and flying quarter mile sprints again on September 25th (and also again on Nov 27th).

    Details at:
    http://www.cdd.co.nz/sprint/sprint.htm

If you go over to "have a practice", be warned that the Wairarapa roads are currently being policed specifically for speeding motorcyclists.......

Also watch out on the day , last year both days had patrols not too far from the event. Shame I'll miss the event this year.

Thanks for that , the standing times weren't too flash , rider too heavy and first gear is so tall. Shame I'll miss it this year. Was also trying to get the wife to have ago as I think "LB" has been the only Female rider so holds all the womens records and could do with the company.
Are you going to try the TL ?, the Vtiwns sound great on the Flying.

    .

Yes, I hold the Women's Record for the September '04 meeting. (probably the only time I'll ever win anything on my bike!!)

I know that I certainly won't be winning the Women's section this time around!!

Seriously though, it's a lot of fun, I had a real blast last year.

And remember, you're really only racing yourself.

Mooch, I'll let you know on the QT which bike Jim2 enters.....!!

I believe Mr Sampsons record of 296kph on his K3 Thou still stands?

I'd expect him to break it this year with the new K5. Alas, I wont be there to see it.

Don't worry. We'll relay the experience in hushed tones, and shiny faces.

Does he have a K5 now? Last I knew he was without/in between bikes. Hopefully he will be entering again this year.
