The Real Thursday Night Ride (TRTNR) Wgtn, 03/11/05

Edit: As Skelstar pointed out, not everyone is aware of the significance of TRTNR. It's a ride for all riders that the Welly Hardcore started on Thursday nights, then they publicised it and wannabes like me took over posting cos they were too slow!! Usually a quick dash for an hour or so over a route mutually agreed upon (generally diametrically opposite to suggestions from Skelstar), followed by social intercourse at Breakers Pool Hall(?) above Grumpy Mole in the Hutt. Individuals wishing to pursue further intercourse are invited to do so by individual arrangement with the other parties.

Pace is up to the individual. We wait at pre-determined points for re-groups. To give you an idea, we have everything from gutless 250s to heros on 1000s.

Original post: Same bat time, same bat channel. Maungaraki carpark, after 6, ready to ride 6.30. Everyone welcome (except anyone riding flouro stickered BMWs).

Now who's going to the ballet this week? And who's got to get new tyres after chewing up the old ones over 3500kms (softcock - Loosebruce gets 2000km)? And who's gonna put the cow-coloured Jade back where a 250 belongs?

Wonder if we should post another thread at some stage with a more descriptive title so we can alert some more new-forum-people that dont know what TRTNR stands for. Theres been a few new additions recently.

    Skelstar, done.

Limpwhimdimsum - you like those men in tutus... admit it!

VT - as long as her bike remains broken, I'm up for the challenge of taking it on.

Wot's wrong with the Jade? Poor wee thing is probally sick of sitting on 14,000rpm everywhere it goes.

10 last week. More on one of the previous weeks. I think everyone got sick of pasting an R1 last year.

Yes indeed. Turn left at the set of lights (at Maungaraki) and we will be hanging out in the carpark there.

Is that 2k out of a rear Racetec ? You have to keep these things in context madboy.

And I was just about to put the TRTNR post up to find you had beaten me to it. The eagerness of youth eh ?
