Ride to Big Boys Toys with Charlie from "The Long Way round" Sat 12th

Ride to BBT with Charlie Boorman

Heard that they were meeting Sat 12th at BMW headquaters in Mt Wellington at 11:30 ending up at big boys toys. All are welcome Great chance to meet Charlie if you watched the series on TV2 over the last 2 months.

Just heard about this in his interview on bFM. It's raising money for children's charities. Not just from BMW to Big Boys Toys - it'll be into the city and across the bridge.

Anyone up for it? Probably get yourself on the TV, and it's good PR for bikes and bikers.
Remember to never split an infinitive. The passive voice should never be used. Do not put statements in the negative form. Proofread carefully to see if you words out. And don't start a sentence with a conjugation. (William Safire)

Not 100% certain, so ask at BMW Headquarters on the day, but I believe that if you buy a badge it gets you into Big Boys Toys and half of the fee goes to Cure Kids.
The ride is going over the bridge and back and ends up at the Manukau road entrance to Big Boys Toys.
I think parking is organised for us too.

Tickets for BBT will be supplied at BMW Saturday, so bring cash, this will allow those who pay before hand to ride straight into BBT to organized parking after the ride with Charlie.

    North Shore lot...

meet at Barry's Point road around 10.45, to leave 11 sharpish..

    ***WARNING ABOUT THE MEETING SPOT***
The usual spot has been fenced up, so there's no longer access to the big parking space that we all love (except when it's wet and we skid and fall over). There should still be plenty of room to park up, but just please be careful about pulling in/out of that area, and there's two shops that are open that have people wondering around that aren't looking at you (believe it or not), so just have your wits about you. If it really does get too crowded, then think on your feet and park across the road..
