    PADDOCK STANDS Mk2. ARE READY

    Hi Guys,

I have finally got the MK2 stands back from the powdercoaters. So they are ready to go.

    Smaller batch than last time.

Main differences from the MK1 are:

    1. The lateral adjustment is done by screwing the lifter in and out. This means once you have adjusted it for your bike you don't have to adjust it again. There is a chromed nyloc on end to help wind the adjuster in and out.

    2. The frame is more square in its shape.

Overal look is kinda cool and modern and I am pretty happy with this innovative design for the MK2.

A number of you have PMed looking for a stand so you get first shout.

I am getting bobbin hooks laser cut this week, which will screw into this frame so you can ask for one type or the other, or both!

Last time I said the price was at least $100 after which you paid what you thought it was worth.
This time I think it would be better to be a bit more precise. Cost is $110.

Welcome to come round and try for size. I am getting straight on to making the next batch.

Planning on having a go making a stand for a single-sided swingarm?

Single sided? Front stand? Not yet maybe in a coupla batches or so. This time round I am interested to see how the bobbin hooks work out.

Next design? Much the same I guess. A tweak here and there. No thoughts yet.

hah, I already do, just using the swingarm hooks tho, but with the bobbins, zorst etc, it makes it hard hooking it up. Thats why I want bobbin hooks, nice and easy.

With swanman's over-engineering of the thing (awesome having confidence in it), I use things called muscles to just hoist it up. You being a little fella struggle with your toy bike...

Mate I'll make em for $25. Would be great if you could come round again and try em out. I might even make them while you wait, take about 1-1.5 hrs. I notice your bobbins are enormous so i'd be very interested to see the fit of the hooks on your bike.

Cheers. Yeh I'm pretty happy with these. I looked at the micron stand, I remember the shape and colour are pretty similar to mine.

BTW I made one of these stands extra heavy duty to see how it worked out. I.e heavy guage wall thickness and heavier lifter supports. Decided against making more of them as the cost went up a fair bit and took a bit longer to make than the others. I would say it would handle a 300kg bike no worries. So if you have something particularly heavy it will take it.
