    Auckland - Taupo for TD3

    Hey,

Anyone planning any rides down there yet? Any idea of departure times? Twisty or main road down?

If anyone going to Taupo on the Saturday wants to hook up and do the good roads let me know. We can meet up somewhere near Hamilton and cruise down from there.

Current plan is to meet up with the Auckland crew out at Whatawhata then go down through Kihikihi, Parawera, Wharepapa South, Arohena, Waipapa, Maraetai, Whakamaru and backdoor Taupo. Excellent route. The roads are very decent and quick and the only reason they aren't State Highways is cos of the lack of traffic (seriously, who wants to go from Kihikihi to Taupo??). Not sure about the time etc yet but will sort things with Speedy.
