Thumbs up gas gas 250 pampera price drop

just noticed, when the pampera came out, it was 9k
now its 6 k, all road legal, its described as a trials/trail bike.
    5,990 for a GAS GAS!
me thinks it would be terrible on fuel though, being a 2 stroke and all....

But I don't think the intended use involves much highway riding. For what it's made for I don't think fuel economy comes into it.To get where the Pampera will go you will be carrying the NXR on your back.I'd love one,but 6 grand may as well be 16 grand as far as I'm concerned.

The Pampera is not too bad on fuel. My father has one, on the last trail ride it used 2.8L on a 50km loop, while my EC300 used almost 6L.

Too trail for trials. And too trials to be fast. Good bike for learners and short people though.

Maybe a trials riders trailbike....but that's a limited market.I'd say it's a modern day equivelent of my TLR200,or at least the US version which was called the Reflex and sold as a trail bike. The Euro version was sold as a trials bike.

I still use my TLR200 for clubman grade trials, the Pampera would have to be better for modern sections than that, wouldn't it? The TLR has piss poor brakes and crap suspension for sections setup for modern bikes.

I've got the Pampera and the EC300. The Pampera is a bit soft in the suspension but very easy to ride, being quite low. Excellent hydraulic clutch and great brakes. I had the 300 in bits and did an trailride a while back in Taumanui, 40k of mud and easily did 2 loops. Most people only did one. Being low its real easy to lift out of holes and ruts etc. Also its weight is quite low, so quite flickable and good for doing jump over realy deep ruts. For fuel it would only use half of what the 300 uses. Actually I'm taking the Pampera out tomorow on some gnarly forest tracks tomorow, where its going to be a lot easier to ride than the 300. From stock drop one tooth on the front sprocket and its about right. You'll be able to climb anything with the right tyre choice.
    Cheers
