I got a phone call from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend of mine the other day.

We lost track of time, chatting about the wild nights we used to
enjoy together. I couldn't believe it when she asked if I'd like to
meet up and maybe rekindle a little of that magic.

"Wow!" I said, "I don't know if I could keep pace with you now - I'm a
bit older than when you last saw me!" She giggled and said she was
sure I'd meet the challenge! "Yeah", I said, "just so long as you
don't mind a man with a waistband that's a few inches wider these
days!"

She laughed and told me to stop being so silly! She teased me,
saying that she thought tubby men were cute!
"Anyway", "I've put on a couple of pounds myself!" she giggled

So I told her to f**k off.

Nothing wrong with sex with a bag of bones either. Its all down to personal opinion though. I'm not big, and I'm not to little. But I know I'd much rather have a bit more weight on me.

ahh for sure it is down to personal choice .. however media has alot to answer for & perpetuating what is an acceptable body image ..

feel sad that kids feel the pressure & have low self esteem due to what is apparently an acceptable way to look

That's because people today have a wrong psyche.

They all want to be "thin" - any person trying to lose weight should never have "become thin" as their goal.

Instead they should think a bit differently and change their goal to "be more healthy or fit".

So now instead of lose 5 kilos a month - their goal should be run for 15 mins non stop by the end of the month - or run 3 times a week.......

Guess what happens when they reach these goals??

It does. You look through magazines and stuff, and just about every female, or male is presented as being the perfect body weight, and having perfect skin.

Sadly younger people don't realize how many of these images have actually been changed and airbrushed to make them look so perfect.
