    45,000km check on K3 1000

Well thought since i haven't checked shims since buying the bike I would get the Old girl looked at , so dropped it of to Jason Nairn at NPMC to check the shims in the motor . Since it was pulled down from the Valve settings been set wrong from the Factroy & glazed the bores , Jason stripped it right down then put back together & has been nothing but sweet ridding since ! So was excellent to see that the shims hadn't moved in 35,000ks . Checked the air mixtures then put her all back together for another 20ks . Must say you cann't complain about service cost with the bike > Gotta love the Japanese for that . Have run Spectra Gold 10/40 semi Mineral in the bike since I have had it & ran this in my GSXR1100 for 7years . Bloody Top oil . Flarings all back on ready weather permiting tomorrow for a blast out to Wanga Pub .

And a bloody good day it was to, it was just about the old school ride, good on Griz getting Brian out there too, I'm sure he's spending too much time on the old girls. Thought you would've done a quick review/impressions of the Royal Enfield
As mad as a spider, and twice as hairy !
