Marvellous idea to get my grand-daughter into biking early

It's amazing the ideas you have over a pre dinner wine.
My grand-daughter Gabrielle (Gaby) is due to be born, probably on Wednesday and this little idea just popped into my head as a way to get her introduced to biking early. (Don't panic anyone ... it'll be strictly up and down the drive and the seat is remarkably secure).
Now if anyone can tell me where to buy size 00 leathers and a softball size helmet we may just make it onto the road before too long....
(and yes, Gaby's mum knows about my plan and approves)

And hell yeah ... I'll be posting the photo's when this is done.

    Way to go, grandad!!!!
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

That's a great idea. I tend the have the eldest grandson sitting on the tank, while the youngest misses out (yes I have two). Not any more.

awesome idea, be a shame if it fell off though

Yes. I have a feeling that if I do actually roll the wheels with Gaby on board, her mum would be running along side the bike with a hand on the seat.

Yeah. Perhaps I should put a disclaimer at the bottom of the photos. "No babies were harmed in the making of these photos"

Nah you wanna get a toddler strapped in and pose (do) a stand-up wheelie...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Cheeers Speights_Bud. Perhaps I will have a look around down here for a littley-lid. Although, her mother does seem to have knitted several.

Oh. This has reminded me that I introduced my grand-son to to biking at the ripe old age of 3 weeks ...

Introducing Miss Gaby. 8lb 4oz and a good strong throttle hand already.
It'll be a couple of weeks before I strap her to my bike but she has already tried my helmet on. (Well she actually sat in my helmet for a moment but it's a start.)

Congrats on the new addition to the family

Looking foward to the pics of bubs on the bike!

Thought - put a good sheepskin rug in the baby seat, furry side in and leather side out, make lace holes along the edges and leather-lace the rug up with bubs inside, strap the whole package snugly into the baby seat, et voila! a custom leather papoose Adjustable for those early growth spurts!
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
