Unhappy Run over by truck today

I got run over by a truck on the takas today very lucky to be alive. I'm not sure what went wrong, one second I was to the right of it next I'm under it. was overtaking it with a bunch of cars as it was going up the hill to the cafe.

Escaped with sratches bruises, dodgy knee and what might be a broken arm, new bike is totally wrecked. not sure if I'll be able to hop on one again.

gutted but lucky to be alive I guess

    Cool

Glad to hear that you are still with us.

Take the time to heal and then think about whether or not you want to give up riding.

At the moment you are in pain so give it time.

bugger. glad you werent too badly hurt. bugger about the bike though!!

trucks are funny creatures. ive pulled over to let some by in the past, and have now decided against it after nearly being sucked under the wheels by the wind. im thinking thats what maybe happened to you.

Holy shit man, glad you are relatively ok!!!
I knew of a guy who got "sucked" under a truck while passing it (the 'knew of' is because he was killed) but I think it was going at a fairly decent pace. How fast do you think you were going, 60, 80kmphs? Or did your bike just slip?
Either way, lucky you are here to tell the story!

Didn't you realise that you're in New Zealand? The penalty here for overtaking is Death.

You were lucky. Hope the Police and insurance find in your favour.

holy crap.. you're bloody lucky! Lucky the truck stopped too. Often things happening that far back seldom gets attention.

Hope the recovery goes well and the nerves aren't too shot!
