31 July Whisky & whatever night

Okay, I've been doing some thinking about 31 July, since Hitcher can't make it and he was the main motivating factor behind the haggis.

Given that only Jim2 and I are into haggis, and Gini is pregnant and the smell of just about anything seems to make her gag at the moment, it's probably best to avoid the haggis this time and leave it for when Hitcher can make it.

I suggest instead that we have a bit of a get-together, at our place, pm me for the address if you don't already know it.

Those who wish to try out decent single malts are invited, and encouraged, to bring theirs for those who wish to be educated in the finer points of life. I will be bringing out Abelour, a Highland malt, and Lagavulin, an Islay malt.

Those who don't enjoy scotch (you all know who you are) are very much still invited. It will be nice to have a good old get-together, talk some shit and have some fun.

We'll have it inside rather than in the gargre which, to be honest, is messy as hell, stinks of petrol, oil, grease, and motorcycle parts, and is not likely to be tidied either.

Be good to see you here..

    Simon
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

along with your choice of beverage to share for the night.

31st July, I may just be enjoying a nice wee bottle of Glenlivet on the Lemming Run. Good to see there are others who enjoy a good single malt.

Not sure about the haggis or black pudding tho.

Shit. I came all the way into work with John and forgot to tell him the haggis was off!

    I'll tell him tomorrow.

And Theresa is welcome to bring her rum!

I'm sure Gini won't mind having another person turn up who's capable of holding an intelligent sober conversation

btw it's been mentioned to me that the rugby is on at this time too.

Fear not, we have Sky Sport...

    Rugby :disapint:

    I may have to reconsider.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
