Nelson Adventure Ride - Early Jan

I'm going to be in NN between Xmas and 6/7th of Jan and am keen to do a two day (or one day if more suitable) adventure ride between 2-5th of Jan. Just trying to guage interest at this stage.

Lots of cool roads/tracks to chose from - Anatori, Aorere Goldfields, Mangatapu, Breaburn, Porika, New Creek to Deniston, etc etc. Maybe do Rainbow/Molesworth but will prob ride Rainbow on way up.

    Interest/comments?

    Cheers

    Hi R.
I'll be crossing Picton to Wellington on the 2nd Jan sailing at 1:15pm going to visit family in Hastings and then back over Wellington to Picton sailing at 2pm on Saturday the 6th.
So unfortunately that knocks me out of your plans, and J is talking about going south starting Boxing Day I think.

Alf - Plan on being at the races above on the second but should be able to meet up after that if you around. Keen to do the porika braeburn matakiki valley maruria saddle so may catch up for that.

This all depends on me getting my bike back together though! Pulled apart the swing arm and linkages to check bearings and found naffed bearings and shafts. Should have back together tonight if the parts turn up today.

    Cheers

Righty O - bike back together with only one bodge as can't get seals so "made" some out of liquid gasket. Should be OK till new seals arrive from japan in new year. I'm back on the road - just have to figure out how to get two 4x4's and a bike to nelson on Sat without trailering the bike (which is looking likely, damn it).

See some of you up there.

    Cheers
