    Unhappy Bloody non-English-speaking taxi drivers!!

Just left work and pulled onto Queen St, when some stupid MF taxi driver decided to pull a u-turn, slammed on the brakes, took evasive action to the right thinking this guys gotta see me now! But alas he hit me on my front wheel! Didn't even get out of first gear! Skidded down the road with my foot jammed under the bike.
Guy kept telling me it wasn't his fault and I kept telling him to fucking speak english and watch where he's bloody going!
Bike rooted, snapped both footpegs/levers off, so think I must have lowsided then highsided when I hit the car, which seems a bit weird considering I would have been 20-30kms (total guess) when I hit him.
Anyways talked to the taxi company they said I shouldn't have any trouble claiming from their insurance company (but we'll see).
Rode (kind of) back to work, usual fairing/indicator damage and front forks bend all out of shape. Sitting at home now with an ice pack on my foot and a beer in the hand.

    Choice,

    Brad

Unfortunate way to finish the day.
Hope the injuries arent serious and you're back on the bike soon.

So - it'll be the car into the city from the Hib Coast?

Yep, within 24 hours (from memory, it might be 48)....

Fair enough to be pissed at cab drivers, they are the reason i get so drunk before i come home from town - so i dont comprehend how bad their driving is.

    Glad you are ok.

Then we would be confident that he passed the driving test with his own answers, not those of a translator!

Actual transcript - you'd think it was from Cairo, but no good old auckland:
    "Do you know Prospect Terrace"
    "Yes, yes, get in"
    "Cool"
    "Where you going?"
    "You said you knew"
"Yes yes, Prospeck Terrace - is this near hospital?"
    "$@#$@#$*&" slam
"Come back, come back you no pay"

But still drive like a prick.

Hang on... Auckland IS Cairo, just without the long history of culture and civilization.!

Sorry to hear about your bin. Taxi's in Queen Street have been pulling U turns with out warning for years and I see no reason why they wont continue to do so for years to come. All I can say is this is one of the hazzards that people should expect while riding through the CBD

Yeah foreign bumfucks!!!! sorry to hear your prized possesion is trashed!!
But look on the bright side you got the day off work and helped to foster good foreign relations with one of NZ's many immigrants!!
Be very wary of insurance companies especially the types that will insure foreign taxi drivers!!!
