    Grub takes on/off the Rimis

As some of you may know the Grub came off the new CBR this morning on the Rimutakas .... I was following a couple of courners down from him so came across the accident where Wasp told me it was him ... laid my bike down and went to deal with the broken lad. Grub can explain later exactly what happened ... it was not a fast accident so there is a small amount of damage to deal with ...

Ambulance, police and fire arrived and we went down to Hutt where he was taken care of extremely well ... thank god for good motorbike gear.

He is now home recuperating - with a small amount of thread in the knee where the wire fence sliced (but his gear is fine) ... he is sore and bruised to buggery .. but I am sure with the anica and paracedemol will heal.

Thanks heaps to Wasp, Biggles and all the guys at the top of the hill for taking care of the bikes for us ... meant I just needed to focus on Grub and getting him seen to ...thanks also to AJ for getting the bikes for us and bringing them home (got some beers here for ya) .. also my neighbours (who some of you have met) bought me a car and clothes for Grub .. so he looked at least a little decent coming outta the hospita.

Thanks for your thoughts .. in a couple of days I know he will be on line ( or when I let him have the wireless computer we own) ... kia kaha and many thanks to others who helped who I haven't named.

Ouchy! I saw the bike in the back of AJ Turbo's van at the bucket racing, and it looked good, it'll clean up fine.
Best wishes Grub! I hear it was a highside? You will have a good story to tell us at the lunch... you must come.

He's not going to make a habit off this FallingOffThing, is he?
Hope all will be well soon
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Jebus you had a couple of us down at Rimutex worried when we heard about your accident. Some twit told us that a biker had been impaled on a post up there. Imagine our surprise when we encountered little traffic going up and also the Ambo coming back down

Good to hear you'll be ok.

Yep, the Chinese whispers had an entire crew of bikes down, blood guts and ass everywhere, and a dude shishkibaabed on the fence.

Ride up ten minutes after hearin about it, and not even any indicator shards on the ground, figured it to be a really cool urban legend in the making

Good to hear you're ok Grub, heal up quick.

Bugger~! Sorry to hear the news.
That is indeed a bit of a worry - and only had the bike now how long?
Tsk tsk - best I pay head seeing as I'm riding unfamiliar bike on unfamiliar territory at the 'mo.

Glad to hear no permanent damage was done and hope for a speedy recovery.
    Keep it rubber-side down...
