    2008 Ninja 250. WOW!!!!

Well kids.....Kawasaki has FINALLY done it. They decided to update the venerable Ninja 250/Ex250.....and I think they have a winner here.

    Link: http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/det...ontent=details

Love the red and black. Even the blue aint half bad. Best of all is that its only a couple hundred more then the old one!!!!

I think its a HUGE improvement over the previous bike. It looks like a baby Ninja Zx6R for christs sake. Insiders are saying that its going to have a stronger midrange and a much stronger top end then the previous bike too!!!

Why the hell couldnt they have had this when I first graduated the MSF course?!?!?! Honestly, I'd probably still be happily riding a 250 if they had this out a few years ago!

Kawasaki is gonna sell these things like hotcakes. To me its pretty much the ONLY option for a first bike if your'e a sports bike enthusiast and are gonna go the 250 route before moving up to something bigger......at least in the United States anyway.

Awesome, I may have just found my first bike :]. Good thing too, because I like the "naked" look.

    Wow!!! That look really good...

    Now: onto picture reference/thoughts:
    a. They've dropped the 2nd exhaust (which is something that was always on my mind when I owned a GPX250)
    b. They've managed to get the sidestand nice and far into the bike so it won't be the first thing that scrapes when tipped over on it's left-hand side.
    c. They've improved the appearance of the mirrors, which no longer look like some huge ugly looking thing.
    d. They've changed to twin-seat as opposed to banana seat (I always have found twin seat to be slightly more comfy... well... at least some bikes)
    e. They've changed the carbs to Keihin CVK30, which have got to be better than the (if I remember correctly) Mikuni carbs, which I personally didn't like that much (but it was probably just the condition of my GPX)
    f. They've finally switched from 16" to 17" wheels
    g. Candy Plasma Blue... need I say more
There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there? -Clerks

Bet it wont be 6k tho.
As for the GPX being slower than a ZXR250 or CBR250 well speed aint everything and I personally would prefer to pay 6K for a new bike than 6K for a 15 year old ZXR. Just my 0.02c.

I see you would rather have the Honda by way of omission.

I read last night that the latest 250 Ninja has more horsepower than the old zxr250 and it will sell for about US$3500 in the States. Looks great in black. Wonder if Muzzy will do a perfomance exaust?

I am awaiting a back today... made some enquiries ...
    FB wants one...

Where there is a will there is a way right?!...

Know a few people who import cars... so once I hear if they are going to be coming here or not then comes the 'plan of attack'....
(with a little help from friends/family in the import business... it could work out perfectly )

It would be cheaper to source one from japan rather than the states

    Breaking News, 2008 NINJA 250r.

Kawasaki is releasing a new 250cc motorcycle.
The ninja 250r is so fare a reality and well be revealed in France Thursday the 27th 2007.
This bike is an absolutely sick looking bike, looks a little like the ninja 636, only with a 250cc block.
It’s a water cooled parallel twin block that pulls out 45hp. Which means it’s just as fast as the old zxr250 and cbr250r.
So this means that all zxr, cbrr, fzr, gpx, gsx, gsxr, and all other 250s are going to meat there doom, all those bikes are going to reduce in value as soon as the new ninja is released.
Other than that, the new ninja is one sick looking beast.
I’m sure that very shortly Honda is going to fight back a release a 250 of there own.
As for Hyosung, I am sorry but there time in the light is coming to an end.
The new ninja is a smart move by Kawasaki, since the 250 market is so vast and open.
    Good on yea Kawasaki.
