28/10 Wellington - Castlepoint?

Thought i'd chuck out an ad to see if anyone's keen.

I'm embarking on my first long distance (for me anyway) road trip on the bike, and it's open to anyone who wants to join. Have two mates joining me, both members on here, one on a 250, the other on a 1000, but it will be fairly cruisy and a relaxed pace.

Planning to leave from Wellington City, through the Hutt, and over the Rimutaka's, through to Martinbourough, back roads to Masterton, then out to Castle Point, and of course back to Welly.

Thinking of departing at 10am, and am happy to meet people at pre-determined venues. I won't be going quick, i'm only on a 250, but it would be cool to meet some of you guys before I leave for Auckland in a week.

I would have been keen but Im not in Wellington this weekend. Put my name down for next time though.

BuckBuck, Biggles and I rode around the wiarapa yesterday and it was a brillant ride. I would love to go out to castle point but I have to work tomorrow

A bit of advise for the GT250R. Top it up for fuel in Martinbourough. I put some fuel in mine on thursday and spent alot time worrying if I would have enough. Luckily I did and managed to make it back to Martinbourough to fill up for the ride back over the hill.

Cheers guys, I had originally planned this ride for Saturday, but then checked the weather forecast. Sunday should be sweet as.

I'll be in for this. I've gotta come from Kapiti so probably best I meet you along the way at the Rimutaka Caltex. I'll try and be there by 10:30 which is probably a bit early but I can wait.

did this last weekend. Fantastic ride. You will have stacks of fun with the great road out there. There is fuel out in castlepoint but we were all too afriad to ask how much they wanted for it.

So if I went, how many GT250s would that be? I'm pretty keen to join up from somewhere in the hutt.

Heh, with you, thats 4 Hyosung 250's, and a TLR1000.

For a change, the bigger bike, will be forced to stay with us (more or less).

We're meeting in Petone at 10 if you wanna meet us there, or Rimutex at 10.30.
