As of yesterday there has been another 8km section laid with more to come, the gravel is still thick on the road in far too many places. I talk to the roading guys daily when they come for there pies etc. so the info is hot off the press. And i live here!.

    Coro Loop

I used to do this ride a lot back when the top half had gravel road but always went anti clockwise (just got another road bike after 10 year break) - so question - Is anti clockwise still the best way round ?

    But of course.

And then turn around at Coromandel town and go back home the way you came.

That's the only thing that could make the coro loop more interesting I reckon. Make the whole lot gravel!!!
