    FXR150, take it away...

It's cosmetically munted, fairings scratched up and shoved around.

    Right footpeg bracket broken.

    Zorst can cover scratched, dented.

    Right-hand bar end weight missing.

    Pillion grab rail broken off.

    Rear tyre shagged.

Currently Failing to Proceed due to elecktrickerical short somewhere in ignition circuit; fuse blows immediately when turned on.

Be good for parts, rifle target practise, or as a cheap fix-up transport appliance for a masochist with no money.

PM me with offers to take it away. If nobody wants it, I'll trailer it to Atomic next week and take whatever they'll give me for it.

It has served me well. May it rest in peace.

How many K's has the bike done? Would you consider selling just the motor?

If I turn the FXR into a bucket racer, I'll have to find a nice cheap little basement flat with space for two bikes.

Because I sure as hell wouldn't be allowed to live in the same house as my wife any more after the words "keep old bike... blah blah... racing" leave my lips.

It's done about 22,000km. And no, I see no point in selling just the engine. What would I do with the rest of it?

Feel free to make me an offer on the whole thing and pretend you're only paying for the engine, though.

GSX250 eh? Hmm. Well, keep me posted, you never know.

I kinda like the Zeal, though, in spite of its various fettling requirements.

OK, all you panting, lusting, aspiring would-be FXR owners, I'm afraid to say you're stiff outta luck, coz the bike's Frosty's now.

    May it rest in... pieces?

I dunno, eh... the Zeal's pretty flippin' quick off the line. Runs right out of puff by 120kph or so, of course, but the previous owner commented that on the Zeal, he'd always win the 0-100-ish part of drags against his ZXR/CBR250-riding mates, and I believe him.

If only it had an ounce more poke for top gear, so that 120kph cruising didn't require quite so much throttle and/or occasional clicks down into fifth, it'd be perfect.

But, then, I'm just subconsciously wishing for my *next* bike there, which, if all goes to plan, will be one of the nekkid Bindit 12s currently going for a song at the Suzuki dealers, once somebody else has run it in and loosened it up for me in a year or two's time. Muahahahaha!

    Be very afraid...

Sharp intake of breath, look of horror! The Suzuki GSX250 Suppository: An in-line twin kick-starter blue or (yech) grey whale compared with a high-performance inline four that, even when ridden by a fuller-figured gent, would fart all over said whale, particularly when the going gets twisty? You have to be kidding!

Hmm but top speed of 160km/h and a brand new motor --and nekkid too so no fairings to break.

That I would like to see... Particularly in its "nekkid" form.

A Zeal is also "nekkid" with no fairings to break.
