it involved not putting the stand out properly, overbalancing, a controlled decent onto the gargre floor, and dragging my leg over the VERY hot pipe as i gracefully stepped/rolled off it. not a happy camper. no breakages to the bike, just some very small hero scratches.

What can I say. Bad luck but never wear shorts. I have had a similar burn from my XT 250 years ago. Put nothin on it but keep it covered and clean it it will heal well. Bad memories for me. Take care

I hope you cleaned the wound properly.... and covered it....
if it gets infected at all, get to the dr or hosp to get some drugs to help it...
That looks sore. And burns need to be treated properly.....

That looks nasty. Quick fix, tip some petrol on it and let me know if it hurts. ............ .

Better use some hydrogen peroxide to make sure it's all clean inside. Really rub it in for best effect!

A man can move much faster without a millstone around his neck, so if he gets the chance to lose her he'd better drop her and run like heck !! .. (10cc "Modern Man Blues" - Deceptive Bends)

Not nice. Just remember that it wasn't the bike's fault when you clean all that roasted flesh off said offender
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
