    Poll - MX or SX?

    Which do you prefer?
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

MX, but in saying that I know that SX will win the spectator battle because it's easier to televise, held in the evening & has infinitely better seating/spectator access.

Our preference is MX but SX is very close behind.

MX any day. Give me the speed and excitement and big jumps rather than the constant aerials of SX.
SX is like a bit of a freak show, or circus act in my opinion. The riders spend more time in the air than on the dirt and it all gets a little ho hum to me. I would rather attend an event the likes of the International MX in Taupo than the SX at Manukau or the Vector arena.
Saying that if the MX is a procession it gets boring also. The best races are the likes of BT vs RV or BT vs Stefan Everts. RC or Bubba winning by a country mile gets boring quickly.
I'd rather be riding myself than watch others ride.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

Throw some trees in and then give me MX anytime.
Another pole that would show up an interesting stat would be the ratio of City (jaffa types) vs Country (the shire):katman: and what their preferences are.

And another poll could be - SX or FMX?

For me - I would rather not even watch FMX.

Sure I know the skills are immense, but in my time I've been made only too aware of what happens when things go wrong (Cos they will!) and FMX is pushing those boundaries far more than I feel comfortable with.
I hate the sight of blood, specially my own.

I guess that is also a reflection on why my first choice is MX rather than SX.
There is something about MX racing, specially where the terrain is used to the maximum advantage.

Im gonna go against the grain here and go with SX just enjoy the pace and "closeness" of the racing plus you make one mistake and your history means the rider HAS to be on top of his/her game the whole time

Unless your names James Steward he knows how to reel em in after a mistake
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses

My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

I'm a "both" guy so can't vote as the poll is set up.

As for blood Denill, we've been around since those days of riding trials without helmets and I have vivid memories of your head getting gashed on an overhanging branch at Chesterhope circa 1971 or 1972 - those were the days huh!
    Cheers
