    VMCC Rnd 2 - Stories

Let me tell you a story ... or two ... about the trials and tribulations of a day at the races ...

    Story One
My name is Bike 34, I had a really cool day and I raced really really hard, I showed a few of those other bikes a thing or two . My boss and I had a really cool day but it was reeaaally long and I got tired. We were still racing at 4:30 and I was tired so I had a wee lie down . My boss and I agree on quite a lot of stuff and he thought it was time for a lie down too - but he's not very elegant about it I didn't think. The problem was that I forgot (well HE did) that we were still going quite fast but I wasn't hanging around for him to keep up . Well guess what, he got embarrassed and pretended he hadn't fallen off at all and was really out there to do a track inspection. . He didn't fool me for a minute but maybe some people fell for it.

More installments later today ... I'm off to bed ... AND SO SHOULD YOU BE!

Great story man, theres a few bikes that could tell a story or two on that corner. My bike gets really upset some times with me and sure as heck tells me about it from time to time..

That's a great story... I normally have a story like that to tell but yesterday I didn't feel tried at all. Maybe next time... but hopefully not. :-) Great pics for us maybe not so good for you.

    Learning about Lines

    Story Two

One of the great things about running a clubs meeting is that everyone can get out and learn new skills and train themselves up to race better, faster and with better lines. Especially when your position on the track needs some "work".

At 11:21:32 ... hmmm, I'd better fix that next time if I'm going to give this guy The Learn.

At 11:23:24, one lap later ... hmmm ... (11:23:25) ... ouch .... (11:23:26) ... ok, so next time, I'll give HIM the fright.

At 11:24:52, one lap later ... bugger ... well that sux, maybe I'll just drop my exhaust and get black flagged instead.

I don't know the rider ... but thanks for the entertainment.

    All About Crash Bungs

This is an interesting sequence showing the value of bungs in some situations.

It doesn't look as if the fall was too heavy, quite a gentle let-down by the looks of it . An elegant arabesque seperates man from bike allowing bike to travel alone .

Now the really cool thing about this sequence is how the bung protects the fairing and the blades and even the gear change lever, We're not sure what happened when the bung hit the ripple strips but there are stories of how they can then flip the bike. But as this sequence shows, they don't do a bad job at all

    Nudge nudge

It's probably best if there is no editorial input on this one.
