    Wanted: MC22 Motor for '94 CBR250RR

So, on the way home from uni the other day, half way between Palmy and Feilding and bike started to make a horrible crunching sound. Was pulling off to the side of the road wondering what the hell was going on, and something hit my foot and the bike died. Of course, hopped off knowing that i wasnt gonna like the outcome of this. Two huge holes in my crankcase later, and im in the market for a new engine. Apparently, something went wrong with the conrod? I'm not too much in the know-how of engines, but thats what i've been told by the mechanic.

Anyway, looking for an MC22 Motor, preferably with less than 60,000 kms on it. So if anyone has one, or hears of one, or sadly writes one off in the next couple of months i would love to hear from ya.

Thanks, im keeping an eye on that one. I'm pretty sure it'll fit.

Took engine to bits, and inside where the crank is, the first cylinder has the (what i think is..) the big end bearing missing and it looks like thats come off and then ripped of the end of the conrod and gone flying out the side of the crankcase in a couple of places. So i'm not sure whether i'll be able to just replace the parts in there. I'll have to go show the guys at the shop on monday and see what they say. Otherwise it seems like it's just gonna be a matter of waiting till the right engine comes along.

    Oh well

    Pictures of it are here:

There are a couple of MC22's that might suit...plus you could keep the rest of it for spares or sell it off for parts.

i might have an MC19 motor with 40k on the clock for sale if the insurance company decide to write my bike off and i can buy it back.
What sorta price do they go for so i know if its worth getting the bike back ?
