    And the winner is...

Started a thread about touring on a sports bike a while back...well I've finally got the new bike in the garage...its definatly different to what I was going for originally...

Ended up getting a 2001 model R1 that had been streetfightered (well...80% done...finishing it off myself). After thinking about it, this gives me the best of both worlds, great engine and handling, but with a MX feel...and I have to say, its one of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden!! Got wheelies??

Can't wait for the summer tour now!! (or even some fine weather!!)

Dude.. I'm with you all the way... one of my "works in progress" is my K7 Fighter (See my profile pic).

YOu'll love it.. super flickable, brilliant handling and no back aches or wrist aches.

    Cheers for the comments guys.

Bike has changed a fair bike since that photo...its now satin black (I'm a westie after all), road legal lights put on (that look soooo much better), micro indicators, relocated a couple of things etc.

Will chuck on some updated photo's at some point.

oh, and on loudness...the bikes on par with any other performance exhaust...which surprised me when a mate took it for a spin...sounds so much louder when riding then for a by stander.
