G'day all,
Just searching the KB brain here for (hopefully) some insight as to the problem with my bike at the moment. :spudwhat:
As stated it is a TL1000S ('98) And on the KB ride back from Whangamata last saturday I noticed something was wrong. At first it felt like it was down about a third in power, where I can usually wheelie in 2nd I couldn't get it up (the bike people, the bike! ), and even wheeling in first was difficult (as far as wheeling TL's is concerend!)
So I took it for a blat tonight and have found that when it gets to around 9000 rpm (redline about 10500rpm I think) it kinda coughs and splutters and wont accerlate any further! Im thinking maybe a fueling problem? But am worried that it may be more serious.
It still rev's fine in neutral right through to the limiter (much to the neighbours disaproval). I also noticed that both the water and oil levels were low, but only on minimum levels, they wouldn't have been much higher at the beginning of the ride. Only mod I have done recently was new clutch springs, which I have been luving.
It has done 60,000km now so i'm thinking the engine may be due for a bit of a major service/overhaul at the local shop (last big engine service at 25,000km). But does anyone have any ideas as to what may be making my bike feel like a SV650?
Cheers in advance....
_Daryl
